All The Different Parts of Glasses
(1) Rim
a frame surrounding the lens
(2) Bridge
A supportive connection between the rims. The bridge is centrally located, which affects the overall feel of the glasses.
(3) Endpiece
It refers to the protruding edges that point to both ends of the front. The overall feel of the glasses depends on the thickness and shape of the endpiece.
(4) HINGE
It refers to the hinge between the endpiece and the temple. A lot of skills are needed in this area when making glasses.
(5) Temple
It refers to both legs of the glasses.
(6) Tips
The end of the temple. The part that usually touches the ear directly.
(7) Nose pad
A pad that sticks to the nose. It uses silicone, PVC material, and for acetate frames, it is usually made into one piece.
(8) Nose arm
The part that supports the nose pad. Provides a more detailed fit than the nose pad.
